Gutter cleaning in Bath Township, Ohio

Big houses, long runs, and oaks that drop on them for months. A hand cleanout of every run, every downspout flushed, and a price by text within the hour.

Gutter cleaning in Bath Township, Ohio costs $150 to $300 with Guttrz. A single-story home with light debris is about $150. Most Bath houses are two-story with long runs under heavy tree cover, so they sit at the top of the range, and very large homes are quoted after we see them. Every run is cleaned by hand from a ladder with a standoff, debris is bagged and hauled away, every downspout is flushed until it runs clear, and before-and-after photos reach you the same day.

Gutter cleaning in Bath Township, Ohio is a half-day job more often than not. The houses are big, the lots are wooded, and the roof edge is a long way around. Guttrz cleans a house for $150 to $300, and a Bath house usually lands at the top of that range. A very large home is quoted after we see it. Our fall 2026 cleanings so far have been in Stark County, and this page covers what makes Bath different. The main gutter cleaning page lists what every cleaning includes.

Why is gutter cleaning in Bath Township a half-day job?

More gutter, higher up, under more trees. Bath Township zoning puts rural lots at two and a half acres without public sewer and an acre with it, and lets a house rise 35 feet. A two-story main block with a garage wing can carry 250 feet of gutter or more, with six to ten downspouts, and every one of them gets flushed. That is not a one-hour visit.

The land slows it down further. Yellow Creek falls about 400 feet on its way across the township, which is why at least 13 mills once ran on it, the Ghent Woolen Mill of 1832 among them. On those slopes a walkout rear often adds a story the front does not show.

How much gutter does a Bath house carry, and what does that do to the price?

The $150 to $300 range turns on stories, gutter length and debris. About $150 is a single-story home with light debris. Up to $300 is a two-story home or heavy buildup. We do not publish a price above $300. An unusually large house, or a property with more than one tall building, is quoted after we see it, and you get the number before any work starts.

Age matters too. Census survey data puts the median Bath home at about 1972, with roughly one in three built in the 1950s and 1960s, so we check hangers and pitch on every run and tell you what we see.

What falls into Bath gutters from the woods along the Cuyahoga Valley?

Oak leaves, maple leaves, twigs, acorns and pine needles, in that order of trouble. About 800 acres of Cuyahoga Valley National Park lie inside Bath Township. The Bath Nature Preserve, bought from the Raymond Firestone estate in 1997, holds a 50-acre stand of mature forest with oaks more than 200 years old beside hickory, beech and maple, and the North Fork of Yellow Creek runs along its east side. Yards cut out of that forest get the same trees, well above a two-story roof.

Oaks are the slow ones. They drop into November and beyond, and some hold brown leaves through winter. Acorns land with them. On our North Canton cleanings this fall, under mature oaks, the mix was leaves, twigs and acorns, and it packed corners and outlets like a cork. Pines along a drive or lot line shed needles all year and felt into downspout elbows. In the Yellow Creek corridor or near the park edge, plan on two cleanings a year. Our post on how often to clean gutters in Ohio has the calendar.

Why does a long run with many downspouts still overflow at one spot?

One plugged elbow takes out a whole section, no matter how many other outlets the house has. On our September and October 2026 cleanings in Canton, Massillon and North Canton, the elbow at the top of the downspout was often packed solid. The gutter above it filled like a bathtub and spilled over the front edge, even in light rain. Clearing the elbow and flushing the downspout fixed it.

A Bath house with eight downspouts has eight of those elbows. An overflowing corner on a two-story colonial is usually an outlet problem, and the fix is a flush, not new gutters. If a run still holds water once it is clean, the pitch is off, and that is a gutter repair. Our post on why gutters overflow covers the other causes.

Does the garage wing, carriage house or barn get cleaned on the same visit?

Yes, if you want it. Bath lots often carry more than one roof: a detached garage or carriage house, a pole barn, a pool house. We quote the house at $150 to $300 and add the other buildings to the same quote after we see them.

Each building gets the same work: a ladder on a standoff that never rests on the gutter, a hand cleanout of every run, debris bagged and hauled away, every downspout flushed, corners and hangers checked. A barn with a low eave is quick. A two-story carriage house under the same oaks is not.

When should a Bath house under oaks be cleaned?

Late. If you book one cleaning a year, make it late November or early December, after the oaks have let go. An October cleaning on an oak lot fills right back up. A second visit in late spring, after the maple seeds, catches what the oaks held through winter and what the pines added. Homes on the smaller lots in the old hamlets, like Ghent at Granger and Cleveland-Massillon roads, or down toward Montrose, often get by with the one late visit.

Some of these trees predate the township. Jonathan Hale arrived from Connecticut in 1810, and the brick house he finished in 1827 still stands at Hale Farm and Village, run by the Western Reserve Historical Society since 1958. The township itself was organized in 1818. Trees with two centuries of growth do not make small gutter problems. The signs you need a gutter cleaning post shows what to look for from the driveway.

How do you get a price for a Bath Township house you cannot see from the road?

Text or call (330) 818-5584 with your address. Many Bath houses sit far back on a private drive, so an aerial view may not show the whole roofline. Add the stories, any walkout, how many buildings have gutters, and what trees hang over the roof. You get a price by text or call within the hour during business hours, Monday to Friday 8 to 6 and Saturday 9 to 2. Owner Christian Schaffner does the on-site work check.

Guttrz is based at 1196 Doncaster St NW in North Canton. Bath is roughly 30 miles north on I-77, Ghent Road exit 138, so a Bath cleaning is a planned morning, not a quick stop between jobs. Your photos arrive that afternoon. More cleaning photos are on the our work page, and what customers have said is on the reviews page.

If you are paying for two cleanings a year on a 250-foot house, guards may be worth a look. They are optional: $17 per foot on a single story, $19 per foot on two stories, cleaning included with the install. The Bath Township gutter guard page works the math on a large house, and the pricing page has the rest. A run rusted through or pulling off the fascia is a job for seamless gutters, not another cleaning.

Questions

How much does gutter cleaning cost for a large two-story home in Bath Township?

A two-story house with long runs and heavy leaf buildup is up to $300 with Guttrz, the top of the $150 to $300 range. We do not publish a price above $300. A home that is unusually large, or a property with a second tall building, is quoted after we see it, and you get one number before any work starts.

Can you reach the back gutters on a Bath ravine lot with a walkout basement?

Usually, yes. A walkout puts the back gutter line a story higher than the front, and the ground below it may slope. We set the ladder on a standoff and need firm footing, so very wet ground can move the date a day or two. Mention the walkout, the grade and any decks or beds under the gutter when you text your address.

Will you clean the barn and the detached garage along with the house?

Yes. The house is priced at $150 to $300 and the other buildings are added to the same quote after we see them. Each one gets the same hand cleanout, downspout flush and check of corners and hangers. Doing them on one visit makes sense while the ladder is already out.

My Bath house sits under oaks. Why are the gutters full again by March?

Oaks drop late and some hold brown leaves through winter, so a cleaning in October misses most of what they shed. Acorns and twigs come down with the leaves and pack the outlets. On an oak lot, clean in late November or early December, then again in late spring after the maple seeds. That second visit clears what the oaks let go over winter.

Does Guttrz charge extra to drive from North Canton to Bath Township?

No. The price is $150 to $300 based on stories, gutter length and debris, the same as in Stark County. Guttrz is based at 1196 Doncaster St NW in North Canton, and Bath is roughly 30 miles north on I-77. We plan a Bath cleaning as a morning job because the houses take longer, not because of the drive.

My downspouts run into buried pipes that drain downhill. Do you flush those?

We flush every downspout from the top until it runs clear and tell you if water backs up at the connection to a buried line. Clearing the underground pipe itself is not something we do. That takes a drain company with a jetter or a camera, and we will say so in the photos we send.
