Guttrz / Gutter cleaning in Granger Township
Gutter cleaning in Granger Township, Ohio
Big houses, long gutter runs, and often more than one roof. Every run cleaned by hand, every downspout flushed, the barn quoted with the house.
Gutter cleaning in Granger Township, Ohio costs $150 to $300 with Guttrz. About $150 covers a single-story home with light debris, and a two-story home or heavy debris runs up to $300. Granger houses are often larger than that range assumes, so an estate home with several roof levels, or a house plus a detached garage or barn, is quoted after you send the address. Every run is cleaned by hand, debris is hauled away, every downspout is flushed until it runs clear, and photos are sent the same day.
What makes gutter cleaning in Granger Township, Ohio a bigger job than in town?
Gutter cleaning in Granger Township, Ohio usually means more gutter than anywhere else Guttrz works. Township zoning puts most newer houses on two acres or more, and a house with that much ground spreads out: a long main roof, a garage wing, a porch roof, often a second building. Guttrz cleans every run by hand for $150 to $300 on a typical house, flushes every downspout, and texts you photos the same day. Larger homes and outbuildings are quoted after you send the address. The main gutter cleaning page lists what every cleaning includes. This page covers what changes in Granger.
Granger is a rural township of about 23 square miles with no village or city inside it, and about 4,556 people lived here at the 2020 census. It was organized in 1820 and named for Gideon Granger, Postmaster General under Jefferson, who owned the land and sold it off in 1817. The first town hall went up in the early 1820s. Today the township offices are at 3717 Ridge Road, and the Granger Historical Society keeps its library at 1261 Granger Road. Two centuries of clearing timber for farms left open fields, fencerows, and regrown woodlots of oak, maple, hickory and ash around the houses.
How long are the gutter runs on a two-acre Granger lot?
Long. A house spread across a wide lot can carry a single front run of 60 to 80 feet, and with the back, a garage wing and a porch roof the whole house can pass 300 feet of gutter, against 120 to 260 feet on a typical Stark County home. Ladder moves are most of the time on a cleaning, and every extra foot adds them.
From one ladder setup you can safely reach about six to eight feet of gutter, so a 70-foot run takes nine or ten setups, each leveled on the lawn and rested on a standoff. By the time a run this long overflows, the mat inside is deep and wet. We scoop it out by hand, bag it, and take it with us.

Why do roof valleys and lower roofs clog first on a big house?
Because a complex roof funnels water and debris to a few spots. A Granger estate home often has a two-story main block, a lower garage roof, a porch roof, and dormers. Where two roof planes meet they form a valley, and in rain that valley carries the runoff from both planes, leaves included, to one point on the gutter. That section fills two or three times faster than the straight run beside it.
Lower roofs take a second hit, because an upper downspout often ends on the lower roof and everything the upper roof sheds lands on one short run below. We check the outlet under every valley and upper downspout first, since that is where overflow starts. If water is already sheeting over a corner, our post on why gutters overflow helps you tell a clog from a pitch problem.
Can the detached garage, barn or pool house be cleaned on the same visit?
Yes, and it is the sensible way to do it while the ladder is out. Granger lots often hold more than one roof: a detached garage, a horse barn, a workshop, a pool house. The $150 to $300 range covers the house. Each other building is quoted with the house after we see it, so you get one number for the whole property before work starts. A 12-foot shed and a 16-foot barn eave are very different jobs, so there is no flat outbuilding price.
How do you reach every side of a house set far back from the road?
Long driveways are the rule here, so we park where the ladder can be carried to all four sides. Tell us when you text if the back of the house has a walkout, a terrace, a pool, or a steep drop, because a walkout puts the back gutter a full story higher than the front. Ladder feet sink into a wet lawn or a mulch bed, so each setup gets leveled, and the standoff rests on the roof, never on the gutter.
How much does gutter cleaning cost in Granger Township?
$150 to $300 for a house. About $150 is a single-story home with light debris. Up to $300 is a two-story home or heavy buildup. Guttrz does not publish a price above $300, so a Granger house with more than 300 feet of gutter, several roof levels and a barn gets its own quote after you send the address. The price comes by text or call within the hour during business hours, Monday to Friday 8 to 6 and Saturday 9 to 2.
| What to tell us | Why it matters to the price |
|---|---|
| Stories and roof levels | Two-story work is slower, and a walkout adds a story on the back |
| Rough gutter length | A 300-foot house is twice the ladder moves of a 150-foot house |
| Other buildings with gutters | Quoted with the house after we see them |
| Time since the last cleaning | Skipped years mean a wet, heavy mat and packed downspouts |
If you pay for two or more cleanings a year on a house this size, guards may pencil out. They are optional: $17 per foot on single-story runs, $19 per foot on two-story runs, cleaning included. The Granger gutter guard page works the math for an estate home plus a barn, and the cost page has the rate list. A run that is rusted through may be better replaced with seamless gutters, and a leaking corner or low spot is a gutter repair.
What did Guttrz find under the oaks in North Canton this fall?
On September and October 2026 cleanings in Canton, Massillon and North Canton, the North Canton houses sat under mature oaks, and the gutters held leaves, twigs and acorns packed into the corners and outlets. Again and again, the elbow at the top of the downspout was packed solid. The gutter filled like a bathtub and ran over the front edge even in light rain. Clearing the elbow and flushing the downspout fixed it. On a big Granger house every upper downspout and valley outlet is one more elbow that can plug. Photos from those cleanings are on the our work page, and our Google reviews are on the reviews page.

How far is Granger Township from the Guttrz office in North Canton?
Granger is the farthest west we go. From the office at 1196 Doncaster St NW in North Canton, the drive is I-77 north about 25 miles to exit 137, then Route 18 west through Montrose and across the county line. Route 18 runs along the township's south edge, where Ridge Road, which is State Route 94, crosses it and heads north past the township hall and Highland High School. Figure about 35 miles and 35 to 40 minutes outside rush hour, with no travel charge. Owner Christian Schaffner does the on-site work check.
Clean once after the oaks finish, usually late November, and add a late spring pass if maples drop seeds over the roof. See how often to clean gutters in Ohio and the signs a cleaning is due. Questions
How much does gutter cleaning cost for a large house in Granger Township?
A typical house is $150 to $300: about $150 for a single story with light debris, up to $300 for two stories or heavy buildup. Guttrz does not publish a price above $300. A Granger home with more than 300 feet of gutter, several roof levels, or outbuildings gets its own quote after you text the address, and the quote comes within the hour during business hours.
Do you clean the gutters on a horse barn or detached garage in Granger?
Yes. Any building with gutters that an extension ladder can reach is quoted together with the house after we see it, so you get one price for the whole property before work starts. Each building gets a hand cleanout, debris hauled away, and every downspout flushed. We do not do underground drain lines.
Is Granger Township too far for a company based in North Canton?
No. Granger is the farthest west point in our service area, about 35 miles and 35 to 40 minutes from the office by I-77 and Route 18. There is no travel charge and the price range is the same as in Stark County. We schedule Granger jobs so the ladder is set up once and every building is done in one visit.
My Granger house has 6-inch gutters. Does that change the cleaning?
The work is the same, but the warning signs come later. A 6-inch gutter holds more water and debris than a 5-inch gutter before it spills, so it can be nearly full and still look fine from the driveway. When it does overflow, the mat inside is usually deep and wet. We clean it out by hand and flush each downspout until it runs clear.
Why does only one section of my gutter overflow, right below where two roofs meet?
That spot is under a roof valley. In rain a valley carries the water from two roof planes to one point on the gutter, and leaves come with it, so that section fills far faster than the rest of the run. Often the outlet or downspout elbow just past it is packed. Clearing that section and flushing the downspout usually ends the overflow.
Do you clean gutters in Autumn Meadows or at the Granger Lakes condos?
Yes for any single-family home in the township, including Autumn Meadows off Granger Road and the acreage homes along Ridge, Remsen and Wilbur roads. If you own a condo at Granger Lakes, check with your association first, since exterior maintenance there is often handled by the association rather than the owner.
